The 2nd Meeting of the APT Preparatory Group for the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference 2026

The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) will convene the 2nd Meeting of the APT Preparatory Group for the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference 2026 (APT PP26-2) from 28 to 29 January 2026 as a virtual/online meeting.

The APT PP26-2 is expected to conduct the following activities:

To review outcomes of Council Working Groups and Expert Groups;
To consider Issue Papers prepared by Working Groups of APT PP-26;
To consider input contributions of APT members;
To review outcomes of the preparatory process of ITU and other regional organizations for PP-26;
To develop Preliminary APT Common Proposals, if any; and
To develop APT views, if any.

The registration shall be done online at https://apt.int//content/onlineregistration by 14 January 2026. Only the registered participants are entitled to join the meeting. The APT Secretariat will provide detailed information to the registered participants prior to the meeting.

APT Members who wish to submit contribution(s) on the agenda items should prepare their contribution(s) in Microsoft Word and/or PowerPoint, English version and in proper template provided by the APT Secretariat and send it to [email protected]. APT Associate and Affiliate Members, based on the agreement with the corresponding APT Members, can submit Input contribution to the meeting, otherwise it will be treated as Information document. International/Regional organizations, having interests in APT PP-26 activities, are welcome to submit Information document to the meeting. The template for submission of contribution is available here. The deadline for submission of contribution(s) is 18 January 2026.
