The 36th Meeting of the APT Wireless Group (AWG-36)

The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) will organize the 36th Meeting of the APT Wireless Group (AWG-36) from 6 to 10 April 2026 in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam. The meeting will be hosted by the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry (AITI) of Brunei Darussalam. The Plenary Sessions will be conducted as Physical Meeting with Remote Participation and the Non-Plenary Sessions will be conducted as Fully Virtual modality.

AWG covers various aspects of wireless systems to meet the emerging digital convergence era in the Asia-Pacific region. It also assists in providing effective radiocommunication solutions and facilitating the transfer of technology and knowledge. In its 35th meeting, the AWG will continue to study the existing work items, report on the progress of studies and discuss the proposal of new work items as well as other relevant issues.

Participation
APT Members, Associate Members, Affiliate Members, International/Regional Organizations, and Eligible Non-Members can attend the meeting by registering online through the APT Website.

For APT Members, Associate Members and International/Regional Organizations, it is kindly requested to send the official list of members in your delegation. APT Members are kindly requested to indicate their Head of Delegation and Alternate Head of Delegation while sending their official list of delegation.

Participation of Non-Members:  With the discretion of the Chair of AWG and the Secretary General of APT in consultation with the relevant Member Administration as appropriate, Non-Members can attend the meeting as an “Observer” by paying a Registration Fee of USD 500 per person. The payment can be made in cash at the time of registration at the meeting venue or it may be sent through bank transfer to the APT prior to the meeting. Please contact APT Secretariat for further payment details.


Registration
For both physical and remote attendance, registration shall be done online at https://apt.int//content/online-registration by 2 March 2026 for making necessary arrangements. Please indicate in the registration form whether your participation is physical or remote. Only the registered participants are entitled to join the meeting. The APT Secretariat will provide detailed information to the registered participants prior to the meeting.


Hotel Accommodation
Please see the Information for Participants for detailed information regarding the hotel acoommodation. Rizqun International Hotel is recommended for the participants. Information of other hotels have been provided for convenience. Please make your hotel reservation at the earliest in order to be eligible for the special rates.

Visa Processing
AITI will assist in arranging all visa requirements for physical participants entering Brunei Darussalam. The physical participants shall submit a copy of their passport and valid email address to [email protected] latest by 13 February 2026. The approved visas will be emailed to the participants once processing is completed.

APT members and International/Regional Organizations who wish to submit contribution(s) on the agenda items should prepare their contribution(s) in Microsoft Word and/or PowerPoint, English version and in proper template provided by APT Secretariat and send it to [email protected]The deadline for submission of contribution(s) is 30 March 2026.
