APT Events

The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) will organize the 5th Meeting of the APT Preparatory Group for WTDC-25 (APT WTDC25-5) from 15 to 19 September 2025 (5 days) in Bangkok, Thailand.

The meeting will continue the discussion on issues of interest to the region for the World Telecommunication Development Conference 2025 (WTDC-25), scheduled to be held from 17 to 28 November 2025 in Baku, Azerbaijan, and develop Preliminary APT Common Proposals (PACP) for WTDC-25. APT WTDC25-5 is expected to:
     • consider input contributions from APT members
     • review outcomes of the views of other regional organisations
     • review outcomes of TDAG and ITU Council 2025
     • develop Preliminary APT Common Proposals for WTDC-25
     • develop arrangements for APT Coordination Meetings during WTDC-25

Participation
All APT Members, Associate Members and Affiliate Members may participate in the activities of the APT-WTDC. Organizations that have a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the APT or other relevant international or regional organizations may send representatives to attend APT-WTDC meetings on the same basis as they attend other APT meetings.

Non-APT members may be invited to participate in the activities of APT-WTDC as guests at the discretion of the Chair and the Secretary General in consultation with the relevant administration, as appropriate. Other non-APT members may participate with the observer status by paying the relevant participation fee at the discretion of the Chair and the Secretary General in consultation with the relevant Member Administration, as appropriate.

Online Registration
For both physical and virtual/online attendance, registration should be done by 1 September 2025 online at https://apt.int/Event_regis#2025-WTDC25-5 to make necessary arrangements. Please indicate the mode of delegates’ participation at the online registration form. Only registered participants are entitled to attend the meeting.

Submission of Contribution(s)
To submit contribution(s), APT members are requested to prepare their documents in Microsoft Word and/or PowerPoint (English version). Please use the proper template from the APT Secretariat and send the contribution(s) to [email protected]. The submission deadline is 5 September 2025. The template is available here (Click).
