1st Meeting of the APT Preparatory Group for PP-18 (APT PP18-1)

Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) organized the 1st Meeting of the APT Preparatory Group for PP-18 (APT PP18-1) on 8 June 2017 in Bangkok, Thailand. The event was hosted by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES), Thailand.
The objective of the APT PP18-1 is to initiate the preparatory process of the APT for the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference 2018 (PP-18). APT PP18-1 conducted the following activities:
- elected Chairman and Vice-Chairmen of the preparatory group;
- formed the structure of the preparatory group;
- nominated other office bearers of the preparatory group based on the structure;
- developed working methods and work plan for the preparation of PP-18; and
- discussed on the status of any important follow-up issues from the last Plenipotentiary Conference.
