23rd APT Standardization Program Forum (ASTAP-23)

The 23rd APT Standardization Program Forum (ASTAP-23) was held from 3 to 7 March 2014 in Pattaya, Thailand. The Forum was organized by the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity.
ASTAP is APT’s platform for regional coordination on standardization of telecommunications/ ICT and contributes to the global standardization activities. To undertake this work, ASTAP promotes, coordinates and harmonizes the telecommunication standardization activities and study questions from across the Asia Pacific region through regional cooperation. The expert groups of ASTAP will meet to make progress on the work currently undertaken within ASTAP and enhance the study questions activities through practical contributions.
ASTAP-23 also included the 5th Industry Workshop focusing on two topics of ‘rare metal and e-waste’ and ‘smart social infrastructure”.
