The APT Workshop on e-Applications/ e-Government was held from 4 to 6 October 2011 in Canberra, Australia. The Workshop was organized by the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) and hosted by the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy (DBCDE), Government of Australia. 

 

The objectives of the Workshop are to:

  •  Promote the development,  availability and adoption of applications that encourage the use of ICT and broadband infrastructure by governments, the business sector and the community;

  •  Advance the development and use of e-enabled services in the Asia-Pacific region;

  •  Identify gaps in current policies that inhibit the introduction of e- Applications and e-Government initiatives and technologies; and

  • Share information and practical experiences on best practice measures for implementing e-Applications/e-Government.
