The SATRC Workshop on ?Regulatory Aspects of NGN including Interconnection? was held from 16 to 17 October 2008 in New Delhi, India. The workshop was preceeded by the Tenth South Asian Telecommunications Regulators? Council (SATRC) Meeting from 13 to 15 October 2008. Both of the events will be organized by APT and hosted by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, India and Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
SATRC Workshop on ?Regulatory Aspects of NGN including Interconnection? is a part of the implementation of the SATRC priority projects under the SATRC Action Plan II. The Workshop will discuss the technological development of Next Generation Networks, service requirements of NGN, regulatory implication of NGN and consequences of NGN for interconnection regimes. The workshop will assist the Regulatory bodies of SATRC member countries as well as the operators in the SATRC countries to exchange the views and share experiences on NGN issues. This will further assist them to develop their human resource by acquiring knowledge and skills in regulatory matters.
