Tenth South Asian Telecommunications Regulators’ Council Meeting (SATRC-10)

The Tenth South Asian Telecommunications Regulators? Council (SATRC) Meeting was held from 13 to 15 October 2008 in New Delhi, India. The SATRC Meeting was followed by the SATRC Workshop on ?Regulatory Aspects of NGN including Interconnection? from 16 to 17 October 2008. Both of the events were organized by APT and hosted by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, India and Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
The main objectives of the Tenth SATRC Meeting were:
- to address the key policy and regulatory issues for the regulators as well as the stakeholders;
- to assist in information dissemination, information exchange and sub regional harmonization on regulatory issues in the region;
- to identify the key issues that need to be addressed under the SATRC Action Plan (Phase-II);
- to review the implementation mechanism of the SATRC Action Plan (Phase-II) and its projects.
