The Second APT Preparatory Meeting for ITU World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly 2012 (WTSA12-2) was held from 27 to 28 October 2011 in Manila, Philippines. The WTSA12-2 was preceded by  the Nineteenth APT Standardization Program Forum (ASTAP-19) scheduled from 24 to 26 October, 2011. The meetings were hosted by the Information and Communications Technology Office (ICTO), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Republic of the Philippines.

The objectives of the Second APT Preparatory Meeting for WTSA-12 include confirmation of its office bearers, identifying key areas of interest to the region, identification and discussion on issue for WTSA-12 and the development of draft APT Common Proposals (ACPs) based on members’ proposals and input from the ASTAP. The meeting also reviewed and finalized the approval procedures of ACPs related to the work of the Group.
