Asia Pacific Forum on Telecommunications Policy and Regulation

The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) organized the Asia Pacific Forum on Telecommunications Policy and Regulation from 17 to 19 May, 2006 in Macao, China. The meeting was hosted by Office for the Development of Telecommunications & Information Technology (GDTTI), Macao, China.
The Policy and Regulation Forum addressed key regulatory and policy issues of interest and concern to the Asia Pacific region. The Forum aims to provide APT members with an update of regulatory information and techniques, focusing on a range of topics that had been identified. These topics include; Regulatory Approach to Emerging Technologies: IP Telephony, Competition Management in an era of convergence, Regulatory Issues in Wireless Broadband Access, Universal Access Policies in an era of convergence etc. The theme of this year?s Forum was ?Impact of Convergence and New Technologies on Policy and Regulation.
