For 2022, APT plans to organize many activities as approved by the 45th Session of the Management Committee (MC-45) in order to fulfill the guidance of the Strategic Plan and the Singapore Statement.

As explained in my report to the MC-45, the key elements of APT for 2022 are:

1)     3 major ITU Conferences and Assembly (WTSA, WTDC and PP)

2)     To utilize advantages of virtual/online tools,

3)     To strengthen APT public relations,

4)     To promote collaboration with members and other stakeholders further, and

5)     To facilitate the members for ITU-related matters.

APT will work in close collaboration with the members and stakeholders in order to increase our capacity and improve our services. This will ensure that together we will  grow and thrive in a dynamic and diverse environment.

I hope 2022 will be another year of milestone achievements as we continue our journey towards enhanced ICT development and digital transformation of the Asia-Pacific region.

Masanori Kondo

Secretary General
