Virtual Meeting

The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) organized the 20th APT Policy and Regulatory Forum (PRF-20) from 20 to 22 October 2020. Considering the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the Asia-Pacific, APT Secretariat in consultation with the Chairman and Vice-Chairmen of the PRF considered the necessity of the virtual meeting for the PRF-20, which was also agreed by the Chairman and Vice-Chairmen of the Management Committee of the APT.

During the time of COVID-19 pandemic, ICT has played an important role to combat the crisis and enable other sectors. The PRF-20 addressed issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic in relation to Connectivity, Innovation, and Trust Pillars of the Strategic Plan of the APT for 2018-2020. It also included Roundtable of high-level policy makers and regulators to share experience and lessons learned from the COVID-19 outbreak, and Business Dialogue to share industry contributions in coping with COVID-19.
