The main purpose of the APT Coordination Meetings during CPM19-2 is to coordinate and reflect APT Views at the outcomes of CPM19-2 effectively. “APG regional cooperation activities during the WRC and the CPM” has been described in the section 5.2 and Annex 1 of the Working Method of APT Conference Preparatory Group for WRCs.

APG coordination meetings can be organized by the APT Secretariat during RAs, WRCs and CPMs in order to:

• ensure that APT Common Proposals on WRC Agenda Items and other contributions are presented effectively;
• ensure that APG participates actively in the relevant Working Groups and other meetings during RAs, WRCs and CPMs;
• harmonise the views of APT Members which will be represented to other regional organizations with the objective of promoting consensus building and developing common understanding on issues.

 Roles of the Chapter/Agenda Item Coordinators:

• To present APT Inputs to CPM19-2 at relevant meetings,
• To participate actively in the relevant discussions during CPM19-2, and
• To report the outcomes of discussion and relevant issues at the APG coordination meeting.

All APT Coordinators to take actions based on the current APT Preliminary Views as follows:

1. For Agenda items where the current APT Preliminary Views already reached consensus on a specific [single] method, APT Coordinators should ensure this method preserves the structure/context without substantial modifications.
2. For Agenda items where the current APT Preliminary Views indicate support to two or several methods without preference, APT Coordinators could consider supporting merging those methods taking into account the common elements amongst these methods.
3. For Agenda items where the current APT Preliminary Views indicate no support was identified for some methods/options, APT Coordinators could consider supporting deletion/removal of those methods/options.
4. For Agenda items where APT Preliminary Views may be conflicting with other views, or the overall APT Preliminary Views may be unclear, the APT Coordinators should find out more from other regional groups about their positions.
